Cramlington Cycling Club
We are based in Cramlington, Northumberland - 10 miles north of Newcastle. Having been in existence for approximately 30 years, many of the original members are still in attendance, along with a number of new additions. Our team colours are the very distinctive Red / White / Blue top, similar in style to the Dutch National Champions colours. The bright colours mean we are very distinctive and stand out for motorists and other cyclists to see.CCC members cycle for pleasure and fitness, to get to work, race competitively and sometimes just for the hell of it!!We hold weekly club runs and organise Time Trials during the racing season and hold club social meetings. Club runs are every Saturday and Sunday of the year, meeting at Cramlington Manor Walks shopping Centre:Saturday rides (9:30 meet) are usually 3 hours long (45-60 miles).Sundays (9:00 meet) usualy longer distance rides of 50-100+ miles in summer.Please visit the link to see more CCC rides etc: http://www.mapmyride.com/user_profile?u=635123936261270591From September 2009 we have a chain gang training around Cramlington Industrial Estate. Every Tuesday & Thursday night, starting 5:45/6pm for an hour. Please contact me for more info as everyone is welcome and it is IDEAL training to get your general speed and fitness to a higher standard!! If you cant keep up and happen to drop off then there is a half sized loop which makes a great shortcut.New members are always especially welcome to come along, meet us and try it out.
